How sick is this album art?!?!?!

I saw this a few days ago on Nah Right.

Help Haiti

Really, there's nothing more important in the world right now. I just wanted to let visitors and shoppers know that 100% of proceeds from the bombayhustle store for the next few weeks will be donated to help Haiti relief efforts.

For other ways to help and to learn more, please see Support Disaster Relief.

If you haven't donated time, money or a prayer to Haiti, I'd request that you do so now.

Thanks

2010 Affirmations

Create quality products. Make them mean something. Learn new crafts. Respect old methods. Take your time. Maintain perspective.

These are the only guidelines I've given myself for the next stages of this creative project. Let's see where this goes.

A Day with 3sixteen

3sixteen is a brand that started in the realm of "streetwear", and has now grown to a full fledged clothing company. The visuals below are a Discovery-channel-esq view of a seemingly typical day of the company, overlaid with founders' Andrew and Johan talking about the core brand values. With a keen eye for quality and craftsmanship, 3sixteen invites us behind the scenes of their New York studio / store space that they share with retailer Self Edge. Shot by Sarah Krusen, this video is top-notch for many reasons (one being that its part of a series), so if you're reading this then you should probably press play already and enjoy.

Its all coming together. Word to Smash Reclamations, Craigslist, and the family that's been tolerating me as I try my best to make this an IKEA Free Zone.

The only thing that's real.

I have no "empire of dirt", nothing close. But broken thoughts I have plenty - those that come with a sense of disconnection that somehow feels like being "still right here". I have been displaced in my life plenty of times, having to mentally rebuild my way to stability on each occasion. Everyone deals with change in different ways, so its not a feeling I expect to be understood. I just have to motor through it. There's plenty to be thankful for. And despite the fact that I feel like I'm in the driver's seat, I cannot seem to move my feet and hit the gas and just, go.

This post isn't doing anything to help. I was hoping it would.
