Define your own hustle

Another idea I had that quickly came together visually. I like how this came out - simple, but effective. The message is clear - The path to success is created, not followed. And as long as you are truthful and honest, no one can pass judgement on how you make ends meet. What does hustle mean to you?

SIDE NOTE: This graphic has nothing to do with the upcoming collection I'm working on. Although I'm not really one to care about the "fashion calendar", I do recognize the delay in gettin' out the Spring/Summer 2010 product. At the rate I'm going, I might have to shorten that to only "Summer 2010". Throw in the fact that Toronto's summer last year felt like it lasted about 3 weeks, and I might have to skip straight to Fall...Anyways, let's see what happens. The journey continues.

Bombayhustle is not for the children

To the left of that unnecessarily rude individual is Sumit, a good friend of mine and supporter of Bombayhustle since the day I told him about it. He's wearing the 'City Perspectives' shirt, and that grumpy fool on the right is in the 'Taxi Driver' tee, both from the Fall Winter collection available here. Besides being witness to many evenings with my alter-ego, Forrest Drunk, Sumit's rolled with me on some truly absurd missions (like the time I thought buying a slab of reclaimed bowling alley pine was great idea). Anyways, big ups to Sumit for representing.

PS - I'm a much nicer guy in person. This picture sends all the wrong messages.

Find A Way

The solution always lies in the approach.

Leaving an impression

I guess the reason I have this blog is to chronicle some of the little things that happen along the way of creating the product that ends up in the online store. I enjoy it all whether its building an over engineered workbench, or more recently, getting a custom rubber stamp created for new product labels. The stamp allows me to put a personal touch on every piece of merchandise and incorporate an age-old technique into the process. But nevermind all that...it just looks cool. Take a peek.

A little bit of Press

I wrote a little piece for a recent issue of the CanAsian Times, a publication serving the South Asian community in Canada, about the start of this little thing I call Bombayhustle. Its nice to see the word get out.

Thanks to everyone at the CanAsian Times for running this piece.

Entering Hermit Mode

I'm going offline for a bit. With all the work on the house, I haven't had much time to flesh out the ideas for the next release of bombayhustle product. Its time to draw.
